BLOG PARTY!

It's a blog party today over at Filled With Praise!  Amy's blog is one year old today!  HAPPY BLOG BIRTHDAY Amy!!! =)  To celebrate, Amy is asking all her friends in the blogsphere (inclouding me) to answer 5 questions on their blogs (she might be giving away prizes or something =P) and link away.  So here goes...

1. If you could have dinner with any person (past or present) who would it be?
I would really love to have dinner with my late Grandma (my mom's mom).  I want to sit down and have that one-on-one time so that she can tell me her life story.  She has a pretty amazing history that I only know second hand, but I would love to hear it in her words.  I would also love to tell her all about my Monkey and have her meet him.  She passed away right when we started trying to conceive.  It broke my heart because I know that she would have been one of the most excited out of all the people in my life.  But I truly believe she was up in heaven watching me experience it.  I had so many dreams about my late grandparents when I was pregnant!

2. What is your most embarrassing moment that you are willing to share with the blogging world?
Haha...well...one time when I wasn't paying a lot of attention (which is often) I accidentely went to the bathroom in the men's room.  The embarssing part was I didn't know at first!  I heard other people come in...but the manly cough is what surprised me.  When someone came into the stall next to me, I was convinced those men's shoes and taken a walk in the wrong room.  My heart started pounding as I realized that I was in the wrong room!  I think I sat in there for almost 20 minutes (yes, at a restaurant, with my family all waiting for me at the table) just waiting for everyone to clear out and PRAYING that no one would see me!

3. If you could only use one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
I'm gonna say "passionate" because anything or anyone I involve myself with I put my all into.  It can get a little obsessive I'm sure, but its only because its something/one I care deeply for.

4. You found a machine that allows you to fast forward your life to a moment or to rewind your life to a certain moment, but it can only be used for one moment. Would you fast forward or rewind and to which moment would you choose?
I've got to say that I'm really thankful I only have one kid at the moment b/c otherwise I don't know if I would be able to choose!  I think I would want to rewind to right after Monkey was born (after the stitches, yuck...and without the pain and exhaustion of course).  It was probably the most incredible thing I've experienced in my life, but I don't feel like I got to enjoy it very much because I was in so much pain and I was so exhausted.  It all kinda feels a little fuzzy when I look back.  So I would like to re-experience those first moments as a family!
If I were to fast forward though...it would be to a day when I have all my children in our bed together laughing and being silly.  I can't wait for those days!

5. What is your favorite simple blessing in life?
I'm not sure if this was meant to be serious or not...but I'm just going to have to say...ICE CREAM WITH CHOCOLATE FUDGE!  Yummm...I think I'm going to go have me some.  Too bad I'm missing the chocolate sprinkles and whipped cream! ;)

Wow - you will have to pop over to my place and read my answer to how I describe myself in one word. We must be kindred spirits :)

Nice to have met you...

So nice to meet you through this great party... I enjoyed reading your answers. I know what you mean about grandparents. They are so special and nobody else in our lives can love us like a grandparent. Oh my goodness... your embarrassing moment is one I had not heard before! YIKES! :)
