A Downtown Evening

Monkey and I decided to head out for a night on the town with one of my girlfriends (and her high school girls, who seemed to think it was MASSIVELY boring to be following around a bunch of moms, cool as we may be =P) Karm!  Downtown was hosting a family friendly evening of fun, including free hot dogs cooked by the local police!  It probably would have been perfect for the 4-10 age range, but for two adults, some high school girls, and an almost two-year-old it was just an excuse to get out. 

We walked around and there were a couple of the local businesses with booths....mostly doctors offices, hospitals, kiwanas-type stuff, ect.  But the SWAT team was there with their bus and gear, the K9, the firefighters....there was bouncy houses, face-painting, and clowns blowing up balloon animals....it was pretty fun!

Firehats the local fire dept was handing out!  (Plus offers for fre carseat checks - shhh!  Don't tell my husband I'll be stopping in....he thinks he knows EVERYTHING there is to know on carseats, lol!)
